The Crim Fitness Foundation in Flint, Michigan, is introducing a new program called Crim365. This initiative aims to help community members maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout the entire year, rather than just leading up to the annual race in August. Joe Dimambro, the Assistant Race Director for the foundation, expressed that the idea for Crim365 has been in development for a couple of years.
Dimambro highlighted the issue of participants losing motivation and engagement with their fitness routines after the race. With Crim365, the focus is on providing ongoing support and opportunities for individuals to stay active and engaged in various activities throughout the year. The program is designed to operate like a fitness gym membership, offering a range of options for participants to choose from based on their interests and preferences.
Membership benefits for Crim365 include weekly group runs, discounts at partner businesses, entry into 2021 HAP Crim Festival of Races, running and walking training plans, exclusive merchandise, access to private clubs on platforms like Strava and Facebook, online activity tracking, virtual challenges, guided meditations, monthly webinars with health experts, meet up opportunities, timed races with official results, quarterly physical activity events, and volunteer opportunities. This robust set of offerings ensures that participants have a variety of activities to engage in and stay motivated.
One key aspect that Dimambro mentioned in an interview is that Crim365 is not limited to running or walking. The program aims to incorporate other forms of physical activity such as biking, yoga, group fitness classes, and more. This inclusivity makes it accessible to individuals with varying levels of fitness and interests.
In terms of membership options, Crim Fitness Foundation offers different packages to cater to the diverse needs of participants. These include the CrimFit Training Program, monthly and quarterly Crim365 memberships, an annual Crim365 option, and a combined CrimFit Training and Crim365 package. Each option is tailored to suit different preferences and levels of commitment.
With the uncertainties brought about by the pandemic, Dimambro emphasized the importance of mental health as well as physical health. The Crim365 program aims to promote traits of resilience and interdependence, recognizing the significance of holistic well-being in these challenging times.
Crim365 is set to launch on April 1, providing individuals with the opportunity to join and start their journey towards a healthier lifestyle. By offering a comprehensive range of activities and support, the program seeks to inspire and empower community members to prioritize their well-being throughout the year.
